Metal to metal sealing of body and blade.
Using Direction: Inlet and outlet nozzle are separated, only one side sealing. (flow in one direction)
Service Fluid: Generally used in power plants, applicable to highly viscous fluids line.
Sealing Efficiency: Metal to metal seat to be some leakage at close position.
Pressure Drop (CV effect): Large pressure drop and reducing CV due to seat on the side of blade.
Deposition of fluid status: Because of dead zone, fluid having debris can be disposition.
Operating torque effects: Large torque increasing as operating pressure increasing, because blade to be fixed only in the packing box after sealing.

Metal seat is the representative of knife gate valve and the cheapest price, widely used, but in the ash line seat abrasion can be happened, disposition on the dead zone. The pipe line having high viscosity fluid and sludge not to be applicable.
